It took the efforts of many to give Champ a chance! This two-year-old Hound mix arrived on September 29th at the Lee County Animal Services shelter in North Carolina. According to shelter volunteers, his previous owner's neighbor was teasing and agitating him with a stick, and Champ bit her. Champ's owner was given an ultimatum and had to relinquish him to the shelter. The shelter staff found Champ to be a very good dog in urgent need of rescue placement.

I remember Champ well! He's such a wonderful doggie and my friend Mary Ashburn (Lending Paws a Hand, Inc) played a huge role in his rescue and subsequent adoption!
