What do you call a dog who’s as dark as black smoke and named Bandit? Yes, Smokey and the Bandit! On September 22nd, this four-year-old Labrador Retriever-Chow mix arrived as a stray at the Sampson County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. Unfortunately, Bandit tested heartworm positive. Being both black and heartworm positive definitely hurt his chances at this rural shelter.
