Greta was one of sixteen Hounds who were found to be starving as part of an abusive hoarding case. When animal control arrived at the property on May 2nd, two of the Hounds had already died of starvation. The surviving fourteen dogs were taken to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina. One rescue took a dozen of the dogs! Another rescue pulled one of the dogs, which left only one to two-year-old Greta in need of a rescue placement. Amazingly enough, she did not have heartworms.
