Things were looking rather bleak for Zeke. This four to five-year-old miniature Samoyed mix arrived as a stray on February 22nd at the Onslow County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. Zeke had severe dermatitis. His body was covered with scabs, and most of his back and legs had no fur. While the shelter treated him, it didn't help this poor guy. His legs were swollen and he couldn't walk from the pain. His feet were calloused and his nails were very long and curled into his feet. And on top of it all, he tested heartworm positive.
