Poor John was just skin and bones when he was admitted to the Duplin County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on April 7th. Despite his plight, the two-year-old Bully Breed mix was very loving. Little did John realize that his life was in grave danger at this small rural shelter. He needed a rescue or adopter to get out alive, but testing positive for heartworms greatly limited that possibility. Click here to continue reading about John.
