Nate and his brother Bucky were almost indirect casualties of Hurricane Irma. The shelter they were at in Georgia became full from an influx of dogs because of Hurricane Irma. The shelter didn't have many options for these two dogs, so they were going to be euthanized. Fortunately, the kind folks at the Blount County Animal Shelter in Tennessee agreed to take the two dogs. They arrived in Tennessee on October 31st. However, Nate, a two-year-old Catahoula Cur mix, tested positive for heartworms.
