This is the compelling story of the collaborative efforts to literally "Keep Hope Alive!" This approximately two-year-old Pit Bull mix arrived as a stray at the Lee County Animal Services shelter in North Carolina on April 9th, and was knows simply as number 27802. She had obviously been overbred and then was abandoned. Hope was emaciated when she was found. Despite being described as “sweet" by the shelter staff, as a Pit Bull mix in an overcrowded, high-kill shelter, there was very little hope for Hope.
