Usually, an owner surrendering a dog to a shelter is not a good thing. But considering the amount of neglect and suspected abuse of Weebles, it was a good thing. The two to three-year-old Shepherd mix was surrendered to the Bertie County Humane Society shelter in North Carolina on February 28th. Among the woes of Weebles: heartworms and ehrlichia, a large ulceration in his scrotum area, a possible chemical burn on his belly, both ears terribly infected, fly bites on his ears, skin infection, and paws infected between his pads. Yikes!
