Joy’s name fits her perfectly, being the shy but sweet girl that she is. A two to four-year-old Yorkie mix, Joy was surrendered to the Duplin County Animal Services in North Carolina on June 15th with three of her family members. Joy and her three companions were in need of some tender loving care. Their fur was matted to the point of needing to be shaved, and they also had bad ear infections. Unfortunately, Joy, Bolt and Penny tested positive for heartworm.
