As Barry Manilow would sing, “Oh Mandy!” A three-year-old Boxer mix, Mandy arrived on October 14th at the rural Aiken County Animal Shelter in South Carolina. She was not only a stray, but a pregnant stray at that. Mandy gave birth to one pup. Sadly, the pup did not survive. And Mandy's life was also at risk. Testing heartworm positive meant she could not be adopted, but needed a rescue if she was going to survive. Mandy was slated to be euthanized on November 14th.
