If little Iris had any gender identity confusion, it would be quite understandable. When this two-year old Beagle was first taken to the vet by the shelter, she was found to be part female and part male. There was nothing readily apparent to suggest this, but that's what the vet determined. She was spayed and there were no problems. Iris was a stray when she entered the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society (MAMAS) shelter in rural Bamberg County in South Carolina on March 26h. She also was heartworm positive.
