We might need a diagram to explain Buddy's contorted rescue route. This two-year-old Bully Breed's family lived in Stokes County, North Carolina. The family wanted to surrender him to the shelter, claiming that he didn't get along well with their other dogs. Just one problem: Stokes County has no shelter. So they took him to the neighboring Surry County Animal Control shelter. Not being residents of Surry County, the shelter could not take Buddy. So the family gave Buddy to friends in Surry County, and they surrendered him to the shelter on July 20th. Despite what the family had indicated, Buddy got along well with the other dogs at the shelter.
