​The German meaning of the word dunsten is stew. And this Dunsten certainly found himself in a stew! Two to four years old and a Labrador Retriever mix, Dunsten arrived as a stray on February 6th at the Alexander County Animal Services shelter in North Carolina. Other than being a black dog, Dunsten is the kind of dog readily adopted or rescued. But you can probably guess the problem. Yes, he had heartworms.
