Nina means girl in Spanish. And this Nina got that name to avoid any confusion over her gender after she was first thought to be a boy at the shelter and going by the name of Norman! This two-year-old Jack Russell mix arrived as a stray at the Washington County Animal Control shelter in North Carolina on February 21st. Poor Nina was terrified at the shelter. After being confined to a small concrete run for four months, Nina’s time was going to up on June 30th.
