Buster Brown, formerly known as Leroy, needed help so he could kick his heartworms to the curb and find a new gang to adventure with. Buster Brown was abandoned by his owner to the Columbus County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on April 11th. He was battling not only heartworms but two nasty tick diseases: Lyme Disease and Ehrlichiosis. This two-year-old, 47-pound Border Collie mix had the cards stacked against him and needed a bit of luck to turn his game around.
