The name Henry has been used in royal families for centuries. A four-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound, this Henry didn’t have much luck when it came to being treated like royalty. Filthy, starving, and barely able to walk, Henry wandered up to a local manufacturing plant in search of someone who could help him. It appeared that Henry had recently been on the losing end of a fight with one or more dogs, sustaining multiple wounds all over, and a badly bleeding leg and foot. After a phone call from the person who found him, Henry ended up at the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society (MAMAS) shelter in rural Bamberg County in South Carolina on April 25th. Poor Henry wasn’t just badly wounded, he was also heartworm positive.
