Farrah Fawcett was one of Charlie's Angels, but this Farrah fortunately had rescue angels. Farrah's tale is the epitome of an at-risk dog and the amazing efforts of some very special rescue angels who enabled her story to go from heartbreaking to heartwarming. About two years old and a Shepherd mix, Farrah arrived at the Sampson County Animal Shelter in North Carolina on March 9th. It looked like Farrah's story was going to be a short one with a happy ending. She was one of four dogs scheduled to be transported to a rescue on March 28th. But then she tested heartworm positive, and the rescue could not take her. The other three dogs were on their way, but Farrah was left behind at the shelter, with her life now at risk.
