Blame it on the Bossa Nova? No, in this case, we'll blame it on Nova's owners! This two-year-old mixed breed (perhaps part Cocker Spaniel or Flat-Coated Retriever) was living Summit County, Ohio. A resident in the neighborhood was concerned about the way Nova was being neglected. She would be left alone and loose outside to relieve herself. Several times Nova was nearly hit by a car. She was also at risk of getting picked up as a stray and taken to the county shelter.
