As sweet as Honey is, her previous life was anything but sweet. Honey and two other dogs were kept chained in a tiny kennel. It is believed that they were being used as breeding dogs, so that their pups could be sold for fighting. After multiple investigations by animal control, the owner surrendered the dogs to the Martin County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. Honey arrived at the shelter on July 28th. She is a three-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Unlike the other two dogs, Honey had the stigma of being a Pit Bull mix, and this put her life in danger.
